    I got two and put them in a super clod busterI got two and put them in a super clod buster. Insanely fast now. Like a monster truck rocket! Been great so far. With 11.1v battery I get unreal run times. 5Best Upgrade Done So FarWell this product went into my a few years old slash 4x4. Fried the old ESC so just upgraded it all. Package came in perfect shape all equipment was there and a little thank you more from Mike's store. Would definitely buy again. Had a huge bump in performance even with my little 3000MaH NiMH battery. Can't wait to get some lipo batteries. But regarding this product it is a wonderful piece of equipment. Anybody wanting to go from brushed to brushless I definitely would recommend this. Only flaw I seen is I ordered a new pinion gear as well and I tightened the grub screw quite well and it wasn't enough to keep it in place after some running. So I re-positioned it and re-screwed it down this time as tight as I could turn it. About stripping the grub screw. And hasn't moved since. So I figured it's just the hardened steel shaft that doesn't want to score a mark for the set screw. Which is a good thing. Means it's built to last. Other than that one thing. It has been a perfect upgrade for any 1/10 scale rc. P.S. It bolts right into Traxxas Slash 4x4 Non-LCG. No extra hardware needed. Don't even need the extra mounting plate they give you. But thank you Mike's Vacuum and Hobby. 5Very niceI decided to go this route after getting constantly smoked by my friend who has this Velineon system. His motor started making noise and when he pointed out that it was rebuildable, I was sold. My truck is much quicker off the line now while top speed remains about the same which was explained in the description. A different battery would help but with the traction issues I currently have, I don't need to go any faster right now. I think the only downside right now is my clutch is slipping, but it's original with 2 years of use so it was due for an upgrade anyhow.Update: I installed an aluminum clutch and had to install a wheelie bar shortly afterwards. This thing is so much fun to drive now. 5Definitely worth itAll I can say is WOW! What an absolute blast this turned my Rustler into. I was hesitant about installation difficulty, but it s very straightforward and simple. If you are looking for an awesome motor upgrade for the Rustler look no further. In hindsight this is the best purchase I have made for my Rustler thus far. If you are hesitant, don t be, this upgrade is definitely worth it! 5Turn your Traxxas 1/10 scale into a head turner.Installed this brushless rig in my 2017 Traxxas Ford Raptor. Holy Smokes!!! I tried it first with the 3000 mAh NiCh battery and it was twice as fast as before. Then put in a 5000 mAh LiPo and it was crazy fast. I am currently running the stock spur gear and pinion and it is phenomenal.When you install the VXL-3 ESC make sure you plug the wire into CH-2 of the RX. Also order a couple extra spur gears due to the amount of power this motor provides. I recommend staying with the Traxxas nylon spur gears as it helps protect the inner transmission gears from being shredded. Cheaper and much easier to replace spur gears than the rest of the gears. Further recommend getting the Traxxas cooling fan for the ESC as it helps with heat dissipation greatly. Ran my new rig hard for about 30 minutes and I pulled the body off and checked the temp with my temp gun and it was only 109 degrees F. 5Super cool upgradeWow. What a difference. Very easy upgrade. I upgraded my stock Traxxas Slash 2WD. All I could do was laugh when I finished at how much zippier the car is. Very plug and play install. Don't be afraid to try it. 5This motor is almost too much for the rustler. ...This motor is almost too much for the rustler.I put this on my sons rustler and he can't keep the front wheels on the ground. I had to put a new metal driveline in because this motor will just twist the factory driveline completely off. This could possibly beat my e-revo but my revo is much easier to control, more servos and parts on the e- revo to keel it stable. 5It was easy to install and it works greatI have a Traxxas Stampede that used to have a XL-5 with a Titan motor but the motor was burned out. I decided to upgrade to a Velineon system. It was easy to install and it works great. I had trouble turning the ESC LiPO setting off, but I realized that I had to have the remote turned off in order to change the battery setting. Other than that I like it so far. 5Disappointing Christmas GiftAfter purchasing myself a Rustler, I purchased this motor plus a lipo for my son's 1/10 scale slash. I thought it would be a good upgrade so that our cars would be comparable. They are not even close, the Rustler smokes the upgraded Slash. In fact I don't see a big difference in the Slash compared to the stock motor. I should have used the money to buy a second Rustler. 1Can't recommend this enoughCan't recommend this enough. HUGE upgrade from the Titan brushed that came on my Fiesta ST rally. Tried a 3s LiPo, and went back to 2s because it's borderline uncontrollable. 5
