WOW -- amazing kite!This kite VASTLY exceeded our expectations! First, it's huge. Bigger-than-my-seven-year-old huge. And that's just the triangle part. Second, that tail thing that follows behind it spins like mad -- it's really something. It looks like a turbine engine. Third, the quality of the kite is great -- metal clips to attach the tail and kite string (no need to tie knots!), etc. Finally, it was sooooo easy to fly. We had a pretty brisk wind so that was helpful. I literally just let out line, put my son on one end, and tossed the kite up and it took off. We also bought a sport kite which was pretty exciting, though more difficult to fly (too difficult for my son). 5This kite is a WORK HORSE!!!WORK HORSE!!!Very easy to assemble. Thing shot up like a rocket!The material IS slightly thinner than I thought it was going to be, I hope it lasts a while? Time will tell. But for now, the thing is a head turner at the park. ADDENDUM 05/06/2016, This kite is a WORK HORSE and my "go to" kite for ANY general flying that I want to do. It has a seriously range in the speed of winds it can handle. I have flown it in winds that I probably shouldn't have, and the kite performed great (by that I mean it didn't tear itself apart). Now, like any good kite that you can put through the ringer, it does require some TLC and minor repairs once and a while. the grommet at the keel cam off, and I was able to repair it within 20-30 minutes using dounble sided duct tape and a larger grommet. Also some preventative reinforcement sewing at the wing tips was performed as well (like I said, I've flown this kite HARD and OFTEN). I've flown Popper Messengers on it and drew crowds, This kite ALWAYS stays in the cab of my truck so that I can use it at my local park whenever the opportunity strikes. 5I am glad that I bought 50 lb line with a stronger ...At the beach this baby launched with no effort. I am glad that I bought 50 lb line with a stronger spool. I clipped my Go-Pro to the eye hole of the kite that the string attaches to and got a video of our rented beach house from over 300 feet. I didn't want to let it out more because it can be a challenge bringing back in. With a steady breeze from the ocean getting this kite down is similar to reeling in a marlin. At one point I tied the kite to a full playmate cooler so that it could fly on its own for a few hours. When a stronger wind came in the cooler and all the beverages started sliding down the beach. I wish it had instructionsThis was a very big kite (pls look at the size), but it looks really awesome. I wish it had instructions, but we were still able to figure out.One minor issue we had is that the fabric to which we needed to adjust the tail to the main piece had ripped immediately, but we still found a way to attach it to the middle of the main piece and it worked just great for us. (you will see in the photo how we fixed this issue since the tail is attached to the middle part). you dont need a lot of wind even though it is big. Recommend it. 5Either kites have come a long way in quality or this is a nice kite. I bought this kite for my 7 ...I have not owned a kite in 20 years. Either kites have come a long way in quality or this is a nice kite. I bought this kite for my 7 year old for Christmas. I was impressed with the size of the kite and how easy it went together. I remember years back having a hard time flying kites and I was worried I would not be able to "run" enough to keep it in the air. But this kite hovered for an impressive time with nearly no wind. After initial instructions and showing my son once, he was able to do it on his own with assistance from his 12 year old brother. I definitely recommend this kite. 4Great kite! Terrible string and hand piece.This kite is amazing. Took it out for the first time on a day with a moderate breeze and it soared. It soared away. While the kite itself deserves five stars, the string and handle are disasters. It was quickly obvious that the hand piece was too flimsy for this kite. With four or five turns of the string left on the hand piece, the string let go. It didn't break. It hadn't been tied to the hand piece. And we lost the kite. 4Great beginner kite that flies very wellThis kite flies really well! Great for a beginner.So why not a 5 star review? The center spar was too long by about 3/4 inch. This prevented it from locking into the tab at the tail of the kite. However, since that spar consists of two pieces, I simply filed down the end that goes into the joining tube. Which wasn't too easy to do, since the spar is made of a rigid but light material (carbon fiber, maybe?).Another minor point: no instructions on how to put it together. It was easy enough to do and mostly obvious, but the center spar issue made me question if I was doing things correctly.Once the spar was shortened and it is assembled, this kite is a pleasure to fly. 4A great kite for all types!It's not to hard to assemble a delta kite. With that said the picture / instructions for step 1 can be improved.The picture is hard to make out if the persons hand is holding the front or the back of the kite for the spine. The picture is confusing for a novice. Nevertheless, this kite is simply awesome! Well worth the money, and will last a very long time! It's a perfect flyer for most wind conditions. Note, if you fly in winds beyond 25 mph for long periods be careful as the kite will begin to fray near the tail. Just common sense. This kite also loves a very long tail :) Enjoy! 5Poor quality assurance.Poor quality assurance. The spine rod does not have a pocket in the end to seat into. The rod on each side is so short that the lower edge of each side, over 4 inches, of the end is floppy. Based on other customer photos I see that their ends are not folded back and should be supported. The connector for the upper spreader was partially crushed. 2Best brand of kitesWe purchased this kite June 25. As a second kite to add to our shark kite. And discovered it has no instructions inside. It s simple to put together except for the tail end. I thought the tail end was broken. But it s not. A Neice was able to show me how to push the rod together. If not I would have returned the kite and been disappointed. I received Instructions via email today July 11th from the company. ( a bit late).. This is our second Kite from the same company. The kites are easy to get up in the air and stay up. The string is tough and the kite material heavy duty. My suggestion would be to once you purchase the kite contact seller and ask for instructions. 5
