    whats not to like.. good card game!Bought these as a gift for a family member who often plays canasta with me. My cards are different looking than these, but the game still plays the same.He really likes them and he plays it every weekend with his wife and kids. Canasta is a very old card game but it is so worth learning how to play. I think most people that enjoy cards, would enjoy cannista.. The only thing I did to the cards before I gave them away I had a little tin box to put them in instead of the cardboard box they came in as he oftens plays outside on the deck and very easy to forget a deck of cards and leave them out in the weather.Canasta is a game of calculation and strategy to be able to max the points your after and still be able to go out before the other person.. and of course your after the prized 7 card Natural Canasta hand which is the major point accumulation, but importantly, you cant get going until you achieve a mixed Canasta (can have wilds in it) or a Natural canasta (all the same no wilds) to lay down....I started my 7 year old grandson on Canasta and he was able to pick it up in just a couple of hands.. so it is not a game just for adults... it can be a family game if you chose to make it one. 5I like the game but not these cardsIf you have ever played Canasta you know how much fun it is. I have a different set in a storage unit in another city but wanted to play while away. You can use 2 sets of regular playing cards with a few minor point change assigned to the cards. Since I learned to play canasta using canasta cards I didn't want to change my thought process throughout the game so I got this set. While it is like the game I already have it is also cheaply made and mine in storage are not. The cards are so thin and flimsy that I don't think I will be able to play as often as I would like. To shuffle the 2 decks leaves the cards so bent I have to spend a little time to straighten them back out so they will lay flat. I am going to get an auto card shuffler (my other one in storage needs to be replaced and should have been a long time ago) to see if that helps but since the cards are so thin it might do more harm than good. Got these for a cheaper price and it is true....you get what you pay for and I don't advise anyone to buy this if you want to play a lot and have more than 2 players. The cards just won't hold up. On the prime member option I did not get them in 2 days but in checkout it stated it would be closer to a week. Very disappointed all the way around. 2If you play Canasta, you need these!The best Canasta deck out there. We play weekly, and we love how colorful this deck is. It is SO much easier to have the points listed on the cards, the stop and bonus cards clearly labeled as well as the wild cards. Once you use a deck like this, you won't go back to a regular deck of cards and trying to remember if the bonus are the red 3's or the black 3's :) 5Classic card gameWe play this a lot with neighbors. I know it is an old game but it is a lot of fun. I would recommend it if you have never played it and give it a chance. 5Less than 10 games in and the cards stick togetherFun game poor quality cards. The first few nights of playing a complete game or 2, the cards where smooth and shuffled easily. Now about 1.5weeks later only playing a game a few nights, the cards stick together the coating is almost completely gone. Again fun game and for the price I'll buy it again, I just know that I'll spend more money constantly replacing the deck 3This is a Great & fun version of the Game!!These cards are beautifully designed. I do wish they were just a bit sturdier but my son and I play almost everyday-his very favorite game. The rules with this Canasta are slightly different than the standard Hoyle rules but I think more enjoyable. This is an wonderful game if one likes using strategies. It is equally fun to play with two people as it is with partners, and you can also play 'each man for themselves' with 3 people. There are 5 player rules and 6 player rules as well for the game although the most players I have played with has been 4. There are actually two versions of the 6 player rules-I only say this here because one of the versions calls for two decks so if you play Canasta a lot (or are thinking of forming a group to play) then you might want to purchase two decks. This Canasta Caliente not only has a variety of ways to play the game but this particular Canasta game is a great deal for the price. 5Fun card gameMy favorite version of Canasta. Great game, I've hooked many of my friends on it. We usually take the Caliente cards out that are not standard in most Canasta games. Love the point values being printed right on the cards. I could use a different design on the back of the card, and birds are ok, but it doesn't take anything away from the game. 5Difficult to shuffleLike the price and love the game. The cards are not durable since they are just something like heavy card stock and are difficult to shuffle. 3Starting to crease and peel after just 7 days of play!These cards are very pretty and fun to use. However, after just seven days of playing with them, they are starting to wear. The crease easily and the edges are starting to peel. 4 adults are using them once a week and I don't think they'll last until the end of the year!I have other card decks that are at least 10 years old, a bit yellowed but still playable. 2Family's favorite game!We go through at least 1 game a year. The cards do wear out as we play it all the time. It's great family fun and friends enjoy it too. Highly recommend. 5
