    Another Fabulous WOW Toy!Every WOW product I've ever purchased has been a hit with my grandsons, so much so that I've gotten them the entire line of trucks and construction vehicles for birthday and holiday gifts, and am now moving on to planes and helicopters. With 2 boys so close in age, they have enjoyed many hours of play and make-believe with each and every WOW toy and vehicle. They are used both inside and outside. They require no batteries (friction powered) and are virtually indestructible. This brand is extremely well made and I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything they make. My only hope is that they expand the line to include more toys soon! 5Great funFirst off, I'll admit that I think adults in our home might enjoy this more than our son, who is 13 months old. The mechanism for making the helicopter blades turn seems difficult for small children. That being said, our son enjoys watching us play with it, and he is now learning to make the blades turn when he has the copter upside down. It's a toy I think he'll grown into later, but for now, we really do like playing with it. The animals all have "boo-boos", and magnets on the heads (or the body of the alligator) - there's a magnet on the bottom from of the helicopter, so you can swoosh down and pick up and animal. To drop the animal off in another location, you twos the "searchlight" (the red shiny thing on the side), which retracts the magnet on the helicopter, and drops the animal.During playdates with older kids (around 2 years), they were pretty fascinated by the helicopter, animals, etc. But again, I think the parents ended up playing with this one :) 5Beautiful toysThis and the Turbo Twins were Christmas gifts for our grandson, who is still a bit young for them, but he was very interested in them and we could tell that they will be great toys to have. The only reason I rated the toy down a star was that it was our understanding that they were made in Great Britain, and upon carefully reading the packaging, my daughter noticed "Made in the PRC"... which means, in other words, Made in China. We had really thought we had found a toy NOT made in China! But it is all good plastic and carefully manufactured, and the little people are great... such a cute toy. 4They both fell in love and it is one of their favorite toysI have bought this airplane for two grandsons age two. They both fell in love and it is one of their favorite toys. For one grandson he opened this present at this birthday party and was not interested in opening any other presents. This is the same child whose father asked me to find an airplane for him because he was picking rocks up in the yard and heaving them thru the air saying airplane. The propeller moving and the bright colors really attract their attention. Don't think I have seen either one play with the pilot or the tiger. They both have their adventures with the airplanes alone. It is so much fun to give a present that has brought so much enjoyment and is so durable. 5Love WOW toysMy daughter loves WOW toys almost as much as her father and I do! We bought her first WOW toy (garbage truck) when she was around 12 months and although she would show sporadic interest in the cars and helicopter that followed it took a little more development on her part until she was truly interested in playing with them. Now at 20 months she loves then and uses the little figures that come with them in and out of the vehicles. The only reason I gave the helicopter a 4 star rating instead of 5 is that it is not as versatile and engaging as some of her other toys that she can push across the ground and hear the satisfying sound they make as the wheels wind up and engage. 4Great toyWe have lots of Wow toys, and this is a favorite of our 13 month old son. He loves to push it along the floor and make the propellers spin. Even better, he likes to hand it to mom or dad to make it zoom around the room. The red button on the tail turns the door of the "trunk" to different pictures themed for different adventures (exploration, lunch, travel). It's much more solid that it looks on first glance, and it's still fine even after a few months of being thrown around. Unlike some of the cars, the backwards motion isn't as smooth, and sometimes it clicks when you move it backwards too fast or with too much pressure. I initially thought it was a defect, but the company sent me a new one (great customer service, but slow) and it had the same problem. Overall, it's a great toy, but he tends to play by himself with it only for a short time before he decides to take it to a parent to make it "fly" 5Mom likes, but kids lost interestI think this plane is adorable and fun, with the propellers that spin when you rev it, and the pilot and tiger. My 3 year old boys each have one, but it has never been a favorite toy. I think it may be that the revving mechanism is different than many toys, which you pull back and let go, whereas with this one, you rev it forward. The kids have trouble getting it to go very far. When they do play with it, they seem to really enjoy it. 3Great rescue helicopter for pretend play!Our son saw this in a book we have so I was thrilled to easily find it when I searched toy helicopter. It's exactly what I expected. The trigger that makes the propeller spin is easy for me to work, but it'll take a little practice for our three yo. The animals easily picked up. Great rescue helicopter for pretend play! 5I love that these move without batteriesI love that these move without batteries! I ordered this for my son's 4th birthday. The person is a little smaller than I would be comfortable giving to a young child who still puts things in their mouth but for my son it is perfect. 5Bleh.The friction powered wheels don't work so that is a huge disappointment. The 3 "secret comparments" are not compartments - they are just a rotaing wheel of pictures. It's cute and my grandson will still play with it but it's not worth the money I spent on this thing. 2
