It connects nicely to the other sets, and my kids have fun watching the hamsters play in it.Th biggest downside of the Zhu Zhu sets is for something so small, they are actually pretty big. The the tops pop off this room and tunnel, but they aren't collapsible, and don't stack with themselves or other sets. So, even when they aren't being used for play, the sets take up a LOT of room.This could be used by itself + a hamster, but would be minimal fun. I think you should only get this to use with other 'Zhu Universe' sets.So, this is a fun addition. But be aware once you/your kids start amassing a collection, it may take over your house! 5
